hand vacuum
« on: May 20, 2007, 05:29:43 pm »
hi, i am looking for a powerful hand vaccum. I live in an apartment and I think is economical for me to buy my own hand vac than go to a carwash facility and use one. I prefer the battery operated so I can also use it at home. Can anyone please recommend a brand or store where I can find one..

I went to canadian tire and they ony have the dirt devil and euro chrak for 69.99.. Homedepot Ryobi for 29.99 but battery sold separately for 35$.

waiting for expert opinions.. thanks

When you find a good one let me know! I had no luck with the rechargeable battery operated small vacs.

Me too. Use the house vac to clean the cars.

You can buy a small AC-DC converter for home use. Batteries do die after a 2-3 years.

Good Find 'airbalancer' !!

That unit would be quite handy in the winter time as well for removing excess water/moisture and debris from the carpets in the vehicle. By doing this, you avoid the whole annoyance of having your windows frost up on the inside that typically take forever to defrost.

I have something similar to the picture, bought from Canadian Tire, connects to cigarette ligher power source, not sure if they sell it anymore. Good enough for simple cleaning.

Not for enthusiastic cleaning/suck every particle of dust out of the car.

Without a flexible hose it won’t work well in the tight spaces found in a car.
