Well I guess something was bound to wear out sooner or later.  Fortunately, it was just my speakers!  Roll Eyes 

This is what 14 year old speakers look like!!  Honestly, they didn't sound too bad...but could hear crackling when the volume was raised.





I replaced them with some Boston Acoustics..I did the fronts while I was at it since there was a "buy one set get another set free" sale going on.

When I read the topic the first thing that came to my mind was that you had blown up the engine trying to double the power, eheheheheheheh.

The only thing I had to replace on my Civic when I bought it were the front speakers too, they were working but suddenly halted, then I replaced when installed the new alarm system.

Nice speakers, the old ones had a larger than usual useful life, hehehheheh.
