Very nice. The look of your generation is alot nicer than the current one's, IMO.  :)

I agree.  I love the first gen IS.  The current one bores me.

:iagree:  I had springs on my car that everyone claimed worked wonders, the car handled like crap at the limit and was unpredicable in some cases.

Changing the shocks and springs to a matched pair with proper damping rebound and compression transformed my car and made it umpteen times faster around twisties.

Not everyone's made of money like you and Snowman though.  Some of us need to go with the cheaper fixes and springs did work wonders for my car.  It no longer rolls over on itself the way it used to.  I've already got the Bilsteins and supposedly thicker anti-roll bars of the "sport suspension" -- it was the springs that all the Miata-experts claim was the biggest downfall of the current generation car.

Rrocket... that IS looks sharp... but when I see wheels like that, I just keep thinking about all the time it'd take to clean 'em.  :)

On my way home last night I saw a black IS300 that was lowered and it looked great.  Can't wait to see yours.

Very nice indeed. Maybe it needs to seat a bit lower on the back, the front i guess is just perfect.

Nice photos.

.....    After that will be brake mod......

Why a brake mod ..... the IS300 out of the box already out brakes most cars. That being said I replaced my rotors and pads after 5 years .... but just when the rust was getting ugly and i was getting tired of painting every year. Kept the OEM calipers though.

Why a brake mod?  Because the brakes will need changing in the next year.  So we'll put some cryo-treated rotors on and a set of Carbo-Tech pads on.  Not a real "mod" just improved parts.
