Our new Passat Wagon
« on: May 18, 2007, 02:25:14 am »
I promised pictures so here it is. Took delivery on Monday and we've put almost 300 km on it so far. And we're loving this car! It's a 2007 passat wagon 2.0t with the luxury package.

White looks very nice on this vehicle, and even better with your tinted windows!

Does yours have the power tailgate?

Did the dealer explain the 'ECON' on the Climatic or did you get the jist right away? (opposite of A/C on button)

Congrats and hope you keep loving it.

Turbos enjoy the cool fall air more than summer. ;)

Great wagon and love the white colour. Congrats.

I have to take one of these for a spin one day.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I hope to give a detailed review after more seat time. The turbo is very nice. I haven't really stepped on it yet, but the power from the 2.0t is effortless. I'm also surprised by how good the automatic is, really didn't expect to like the slush box but it's very responsive when in sport mode.

It's used to scroll through the Multi-function display (MFD) in the dash. I believe other VW models has the controls on the steering wheel instead.

Yes I do have the power tailgate. Still getting used to that feature. More than once I've tried to pull the hatch down manually then remembering i should hit the darn button instead. Wife loves the power tailgate but I can live without it.

The dealer explained the ECON function. I'm glad it's there and I've used it many times already. I hate waste ... um, okay I'm cheap. Just bugs me the A/C compressor is on when I may not really need it. Besides have you seen the prices of gas lately ... but that's for another thread.

That is a really nice looking car! The only down-side for me is lack of all-wheel drive on the 2.0T. I think sometimes that I may be kidding myself....front wheel drive should do everything just fine and if the winter weather is bad enough that I "need" AWD....I probably should just stay home. Really, Really nice car......VW envy for sure here.
