I have had my M35x for a month now. I have no major grievances, however here is my endless list of niggly little things I found:
-Steering wheel controls poorly designed. LHS up/down switch is way too easy to hit inadvertenly. Let's replay that song again!!
-Passenger seat angle does not enable support of legs of average sized person. Cannot change angle.
-Driver's seat cushion is a little short.
-I am 6' 3". I am unable to put view guages properly with steering wheel in comforable position.
-Automatic mirror-down function doesn't work with mirror selector switch in middle position (OK, I am really pushing it here...).
-Having to push the "mode" p/b four times to get the heating system blowing on windshield and feet.

Things I like:
-Back seat room.
-Front seat headroom.
-Intelligent key (I like this a lot!).
-Backup camera system.
-AWD (with Blizzak LM15's) provides very confident winter driving.
-Aluminum hood, doors and trunk will resist corrosion.
-I can it serviced at my Nissan dealer (no Infiniti dealer around).
-Headrests comfortable without restricting rear vision (unlike my Subaru).
-Has the ground clearance to handle really lousy, snow covered roads.

I like the fact that the car is somewhat invisible. It is luxurious on the inside without being to jazzy on the outside. It doesn't draw attention - good or bad depending on your viewpoint.

Another dislike....

The guage lighting is too bright even with the adjuster at minimum.

Welcome Fred, I saw 3 M35's on Saturday I couldn't believe I saw so many in a short drive I had.

About the automatic mirrow-down function, Acura does the same thing in the TL, only the side that is selected goes down and if it is not selected none go down...... odd I thought, but I suppose there would be times when you didn't want them down.

Hi Fred...nice car...I love the interior design.Pass the "nigglies" on to Nissan I'm sure like most Kaisen Co's they WILL listen.
Does it NOT bother u that a regular (NON Infiniti) dealer will do the service work....I thought one of the Plusses of buying into INFINITI was loaner 350Z's,Capuccino's and HOT receptionists....OH YEAH ...and..
Infiniti experienced mechanics and equipment....?....?..... Roll Eyes

Got to spend a few quality hours in my boss's m35x yesterday. I drove around TO for some meetings and then spent 2.5 hours on the 407/401 home. I have to say that I am a fan of the intelligent cruise control (i tend normally to ride rear bumpers ont he 401). Cooled seats were nifty although not necessarily that effective. The ride and handling were great, although the car can get a little unweildy over rough pavement. All in all sweet ride.
