IS the VW version available for NA?

http://www.vw.com/R32/en/us/  Not sure about Canada though.

No R32's for Canada  :-\

I saw an R32 here in Toronto last week. It sounded mean as it pulled away from the stop light.
To err is human, to blame it on someone else is even more human.

Someone at VWVortex had their 2002 Jetta TDI stolen at a subway station in Toronto.  I guess it's there's a string lately.  Total garbage.

I'm just reading this thread now... I could not believe my eyes when I saw those pictures!   :-\  Very, very sad.  And so odd, too -- I would never have thought that Jettas were targets for thieves.

Even sadder still is that your 1.8T taught you to drive stick... I remember that sign you posted in the back window when you first started learning.   :)

I hope you get something great as a replacement, JSCC.

I think it said, "Warning:  New Manual Driver!  Stay Back!" or something to that effect -- it was hilarious.  It was his avatar for the longest time.

I'm still alive.

I have been on "vacation mode" for the past few weeks, haven't posted in a while.

Got the cheque last week, $13,500, seemed very reasonable!  ;D

Still no plans on my next vehicle yet, but 99% it will be another VW.

Another used MkIV Jetta 1.8T might be worth looking into.  That way you wouldn't have to dig a massive hole of debt to get yourself into a new MkV.

Or you could go all damn the torpedoes and get yourself a MkV Jetta GLI  ;D
