I would have guessed a bike. The only way I can think to get that combo of acceleration figures and fuel economy.

'Lil scooter, perhaps?  ;D

A Seven clone or Ariel Atom would get that sort performance/economy but I think a bit is more likely.

Sorry, sorry, see what I mean I just get carried away!

Of course it was a new bike! and really new! A left-over Yamaha FZ6 ($9300 but I got it for $6999)

I've been ripping 'round the countryside most of the afternoon.

Here's a qick picture:

She's about 50HP up and 50-60lbs down on my old GT550. It seems even lighter. After scrubbing the tires in a bit, I started to toss her around some twisties. Amazing how much bikes have changed in the handling department from some of the vintage stuff I've been tottering around on. Haven't really probed the rev range yet, but it really does seem to like the revs just as much as the R6 it's based on.

Very happy with it up to this point. Counting the kilometers down until the break-in period is over! ;D

Anybody want to resize a couple of pics for me? The only editor I have is Gimp, and I'm not familiar with it.

Let's see. On a bike that's about 75 km, isn't it?  ??? :rofl2: :rofl2: My bike riding days are long over, but I'm almost envious. Very nice.

Nice! Bikes are fun.

I know what you mean about going from old to new. I was impressed with how they start, no choke, no fooling with the throttle, no backfires, hardly any cranking. Just start without fuss and sit there quietly idling on the kickstand.

Nice!  :fiver:  Sounds like a heck of a deal on hot piece of machinery.

I'm envious!  And if your weather is anywhere near as great as ours is in S.Ontario today, you're enjoying it even more!
