Same departure times over the years?
5 cyclists definately helps though for keeping 'fresh' than with three.
Maybe the oatmeal worked this year for breakfast? ;D

Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Always a 10am start time. Don't think it was the oatmeal, did a better shaving job on the legs ;)

The old record was set in 2007 with a group of 4 riders. Only 3 did all the work, while the 4th hung on until they bonked around KM 140.

This year it still ended up with 3 riders doing all the work while the other 2 tried to hang on...obviously they didn't. The sad part is one of the riders that got dropped was one of the three from 2007 that did amazing....I think she wrote in her diary that more training will be needed for 2010.

The biggest difference this year was our 3rd riding pulling was very strong plus we were more aggressive on the inclines.

Next year we will be shooting for 5:45. Next to a double headwind, we know we can do it....in theory.
A subwoofer should only be noticed once it has been turned off.

Then again, you could be just getting stronger. Not entirely unheard of.
Take old George Reid for example (look under "meet the team". As soon as he retired his times went down...at least for running anyways. His swimming still sucks though.

My bicycle computer's odometer finally turned over 100 km today.  I think it took me over a year to reach that.   :)
