Aura XR
« on: April 27, 2007, 09:22:31 pm »
Purchased a Aura XR , Ocean Mist, with leather and sunroof, about 2 months ago, love it. The handling and ride is very exceptional and pictures don't do it justice, it looks gorgeous in person.  No issues with the trim, only problem was a faulty speaker, no big deal. There have been some complaints about the armrests but to me its no big deal, that certainly wouldn't stop me from buying a car. I've yet to see a pefect car.

Supposedly will go from 0-160km in under 17 seconds, I haven't tried....yet :P but I certainly believe it. No lack of power here. Overall I'm very satisfied, sure people will nitpick issues to death but as far as I'm concerned thats their problem. If anyone is looking for a sedan and doesn't want to buy import I would tell them to seriously consider the Aura.
Don't worry, be happy. If you can't do that, drink heavily!

This is the Show and Shine section....not the Kiss and Tell.  Pics would be great.  It's one of the better looking products to come from GM in a while.

Easily the best GM product in recent memory.  Good looking inside and out (speaking of which, where are the pics???) and solid performance.

The handling and ride is very exceptional and pictures don't do it justice....

Try anyway.

Jaeger

In today's Toronto Star they did a brief comparo of the Aura, Altima, and Mitsubishi Gallant Ralliart.  The Aura came in second behind the Nissan, and actually posted better better launch times than the more powerful car.

Very good performance - if GM doesn't leave this car out to rot like they sometimes do, the next generation should be even better.  :)

Congratulations on your purchase, the Aura is indeed a very nice car from GM.

As several publications point out however, it is essentially a rebadged Vauxhall from Europe.  Interestingly enough, it is that fact that seems to be mainly responsible for it garnering so much praise.
