Leasing an S4 or an M3 would be into the $1000+/month payment....got to make good coin to truly afford that.

Yes, I was saying that I could "technically afford" that. Wouldn't leave as much retained income as I would like, obviously. Trying to keep at least 40% of the pre-tax money I'm making...

Trying to take the same cut as our gov't in your pay cheques ...  :nono: :nono:  :)

Don't worry. My wanton consumerist tendencies will be the death of me.

I'm comparing leases on the A4 2.0T and 328xi atm.

"I have a suspicion that the $37,000 number is a bit low 'cos that I think is not Family Income... which does manage to income split nicely for taxes as well."

I have several friends that are making that income. The $37K would be the average one person income. Many advertised jobs seem to pay in that range, so the numbers are not far off.

Leasing more expensive vehicals always seems to be marketed to this crowd.

My observations are coloured by where I live and what I did for a living before retiring.  I am sure that the $37,000 is correct country wide if Stats Can says it is.

Correct me if I am wrong, but did/do you teach at a university where the parking lot was full of BMWs/MBs/Audis of students who got them as bribes to stay in school?

No! but I lived in an area where the streets were clogged with BMWs and worked in a business where the average salary was nearer to twice that $37000 and heading to 3 times.

I did, although there were almost no MBs but quite a few Acuras instead.  ;D ;D

That rating is silly.  PA is a very nice place, reasonably priced but close to "real" cities if you feel the urge to get out.

And Merritt does not even rank   ???  ???  :rofl2:  :rofl2:
