I just wanted to thank everyone here for all the great information that is contained within this board.  I didn't post asking questions but I did search extensively for quite a while and found a lot of information that was really helpful in buying my first car ever.
So I just got home with my brand new black Subaru Impreza 2.5i SE wagon with auto transmission.  Have attached a couple pictures, which aren't great since it was starting to snow but I think the car is just awesome.  Paid $27,980 after taxes and I think this car is just a great value.  Got the crossbars, wheel locks and block heater in addition to the standard stuff.
And you might be wondering why I decided to start a new topic just for this.  Well, to show my appreciation for the community I would like to give away two CarCostCanada price reports.  Anyone who posts in this thread between now and April 20th at 9pm MST will have a chance at randomly winning one of them (so two winners).  I hope this is not a problem, mods please let me know if it is.

Looks good. If we get the 10 cm of snow or so (like they keep saying) you may get to try out your AWD early!

Aaron - first, congrats on your new Subaru, in Calgary the AWD will be handy and the current nose on the Impreza is the best of the past several tries. Thanks for posting, and thanks for your offer re CarCostCanada. Sounds like you used it to good advantage.

Now, go out an play with your new car in the snow.... ;D :thumbup:

goalie, congratulations on your new Sub! The Impreza's got some great characteristics. And I have really grown to like its current nose very much! Post some more when you can!

Always had a soft spot for the Impreza Wagon, looks better than the Sedan imo. :)

Great looking ride.  I think you made a dandy choice.  Nice colour too.  Is the interior grey or black?  Snow isn't sticking to the roads, but it's enough to keep the Miata inside....still.

Congratulation on getting a fine car. I hope you do get that snow. When I had my Forester, it scared all of the snow away, and I had a hard time hunting some down. Good luck.  ;) ;D ;D

I keep hearing some words - let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. :drive: Because that's what you will be looking for from now on. Driving in winter isn't usually fun - unless you have a car that will let you. You do and that interior really looks sharp too. Enjoy your car and keep us posted on your antics with it.  ;)

Looks like you made a great choice you're enthusiastic about. Love the front end on those Imprezas, and the latest interior is very very nice. I couldn't believe the seats that greeted me when I opened the driver's door... so aggressive, they look straight out of a WRX more than a 2.5i, so count me mega impressed. Loved the contrasting colours too.
