My 07 Outlander
« on: April 14, 2007, 04:05:18 pm »
Nice looking vehicle - Outside (looks huge compare to the A4).

Nice looking vehicle - Inside.

Nice looking dashboard + mini Outlander.

Something I don't like too much, the mirror is so big I can't see out from that corner.

Manufactured in Feb 2007, looks like they fixed all the earlier issues.

Mod #1 - replaced the low beam with Phillips Weather Vision bulbs.

Front Seats - There is a plastic cap covering the key insert area, which can be removed in case of FAST key failure.  I wish the radio was tilted to the left.  This car is wider than I am used to and I feel the radio is a little far away.

FAST Key close up, front & back, and there is the spare key.  The loonie is there for size comparison.

Shifter area - This is called the "selector lever" in the manual.

Trunk area with the huge sub.  There are 4 luggage hooks to tie things down, like I did here using 2 of them to secure my junk basket.

That looks great!   Thanks for posting.

How is it to drive?

I think the new Outlander is very good value.

How is it to drive?

Don't know yet, only driven 52KM on it.  I can tell you though, it is quite different from what I am used to (RSX).  I can still feel the bumps on the road, but I am having trouble judging my speed, without looking at the speedo since this car is more quiet.  And of course, I haven't had the chance to give the engine too much work yet, this will be the first time I am driving a car with more than 200 hp & torque, so I am looking forward to trying that out as well.  I hope fuel economy is not too bad, my average was 8.5L/100KM on the RSX for my daily commute.

Never seen such a small fuel gage. Can old people even read that?

Hi Citydude. Nice pictures and nice car and colour. Out of curiousity, did Mitsu fix the wind noise issue in February build? If you think so, could you post a picture of the mirror plastic cap?

Hi Carcrazy,

Yes, it was fixed, and here is a picture.  I highlighted the foam in red.

I really like the rear view of this car - one on the road really caught my attention the other day.  And let's face it, the back is what other drivers get to see the most!

The best looking Mitsu SUV ever IMO. Love the V6 option too.

Congrats and yes, give us some updates time to time as you rack up kms on it!

Brilliant vehicle. This should help resuscitate Mitsu.

Have fun.

It does look very good and certainly is a good price. Very nice.
The third row really seems to fold flat ?
Can you ditch those third row seatbelts?
Can that subwoofer be removed temporarily to carry loads?

I looked at the mitsu website and it was not informative on those points
