Only meaningful if you plan to sell or trade in your car.   Is there one for best car to own for a long long time?

I intend to drive the Yaris into the ground (should take 15-25 years  ;D), BUT plans have been known to change due to many different factors. I like the fact that I still will have considerable value in my car should I decide I need to switch. If I had purchased that horrible Swift+ (Aveo, Wave) I test drove, I would have have already lost all of the purchase price difference and probably more besides.  :P

Right, that makes it pretty meaningful in my books.  ;D ;D Who wants to keep a car forever?  ;)

It's also important for determining lease residuals.

Cars that are trouble free, easy to maintain have higher resale values, usually are the ones worth keeping for a while longer, yes?  :)

Its a shame when the RDX has to stoop so low to take claim to a title that another truck builder earned. That scrapes the bottom of the barrel pretty bad considering its not even a truck.  :)

Now you lost me, Barrie.  :) Just because the people who hand out the so-called awards to vehicles that don't even fit the category have nothing to do with the vehicles, just they people created the category and awards are total clueless, IMO.  :)
