Yokohama S.drive tires
« on: March 27, 2007, 10:02:42 pm »
Anybody have any experience with Yokohama's S.drive tire?

I have never heard anything about them, however, I was advised that this is the tire that will replace the ES 100.   I initially liked my ES's, however as they wore I began to hate the noise.  It almost turned me off Yokohama altogether.  Not sure if I want to go down that road again.

The other tire I'm considering is the Kumho Ecsta SPT for my Civic SiR.
Internal combustion thrust I trust

It has just been announced and tires are yet to be available in the real world...give it a few months and there should be preliminary feedback.

Thanks for the reply Morty.  Interesting.  I'm not sure I'm a great guinea pig, especially after my ES100's.

It is fun to have the latest thing, but it is an expensive test.  The design is interesting as it looks a lot like the Dunlop Direzza and Falken FK452. I know both the Dunlop and Falken are built in Japan at the same factory. The Yokohama is not. We have had good success with the falken.
