I'll bet Toyota is going to make a "market adjustment" to price of the Yaris how does one get the rebate anyway? I just looked up on Toyota.ca and a base 3dr Yaris is 17311.92 with A/C as the only option

Well, snowman pointed out ealier, too many threads discussing the same issues, similar questions arising.
Can someone merge these threads?
Arthur, in case of rebates, you'll have to get the money from the government, fill up forms etc.
In case of levies, it will be applied at the point of sale, as its paid by the manufcaturer. |

Save or safe? Either way, Me Accent no Fit. It should be: vice VERSA, Me ACCENT no FIT. Oh, I'm just a RIOt today. What bothers me about some of the provincial lists, Quebec's in particular, is that they pick specific cars for the lists of acceptable choices rather than having a general rule, guideline or formula. Their hybrid list is a case in point. There are other cars out there that a fuel misers owing to their hybrid status but don't make the list. |

If they would do something to get the older vehicles off the road they would help the environment way more than this plan will. Todays vehicles are very clean. An older high mileage vehicle that is in poor repair is polluting the air 10 times more than any new SUV. They didn't do their homework on this one as usual. What would be wrong with consulting some industry people that know what is going on before coming up with these plans? This whole thing is politically based and gives no thought to how it affects industry.

Supports lots of Japanese workers. Bravo. |

All this made me wonder how one gets a minister chair.. It should be as simple as a flexible scale applied here. Lets say if Fit consumes a little over Yaris, then it should be given a little less in rebate cash, say a 800 bucks, and then goes 4cyl Camry with $600 back and so on.. What was their highest grade in math? |
