Alignment, not balancing. My summer wheels are balanced rather well (I think Honda matches the weight of the locking nut to the weight of the standard nut...)
Everything in life is relative.

It has been 4 years to this very day I believe.

From graduation to a possible return to academia
3 cities
2 jobs
1 crash
Got engaged too.

About 74k now.
As for the car, everything's still good. Interior is pretty much as it was new.
Fuel economy has suffered due to my very slow commute but still getting 10.8 in rush hour in the winter on winter tires and winter gas is good IMO.
Still needs about 20lb/ft more torque. But not really sure if its worth modding.
Much less rattly than before. Kind of strange, like its worn itself soft somehow.
Haven't had any unexpected repairs required except for the initial power window issue and the crash.
As far as I know, no discernible oil burn in the ~9k between changes.

I must say they did build a damn good car here. Good thing because it will be hard to justify selling it considering the discount I'd have to give for the accident.

Excellent update. Ours has been TOP NOTCH too since we owned it (December 2007). Only issue was the centre console lights burning out...replaced under warranty during summer 2010. Now at 128k.

Re "much less rattly"..
Could that be due to softer winter tires?

Mine's over 4 years old too!

No problems either.  Looks like nice, runs like new.

I agree, tough to justify trading.  Especially if you've had an accident.

Maybe get a car that you won't want to drive in the winter, and then your excuse is that you'll keep the TSX to drive in the winter!   ;D   (Well, that's going to be my excuse at least.  If this car lasts 10+ years, I won't be able to wait 10+ before my new car itch flares up again.)

That is one thought. However that plan requires me to have a house with a double garage. I have one now...but its not really mine. Just house sitting. :) Of course this situation could last several years....

I also wonder what I would get as a summer car. It is worth thinking about. :) Basically my philosophy is that if you can survive in the winter with good tires, you shouldn't need a winter beater. I just went through a winter with a Z4 and it was fine. I imagine a 135i M Sport would also be fine. ;D Maybe turbocharged S2000 would make sense as a summer only car.

The more likely path I think is that I end up gifting it to my younger brother.

Oh, gifting is a good idea too.

For me, I was thinking maybe a Cayman.  I wouldn't want to drive it in the winter, even if I could.

1 series will go through a re-design soon.  Funny how they made the 1M only for a year's production.

What a difference a year makes.   The first time you plant your foot in the new ride the TSX will  be forgotten.

 :'(

Sniff, sniff.

Hopefully, the memories are good.  ;D

We were going to sell ours. My husband doesn't want to anymore. We'll revisit the situation in a few months. It can be a tough car to give up......

I thought you "had enough" of it (all due to rattles)?

Anyways, you're gonna have fun with the CLK550. ;D

Love hate relationship. :)

A lot of it is my association of the last 5 years with the car. Its basically been with me since graduation from University, and since I met my wife.

So basically, a very important part of my life, I've always had this TSX. And now it is going away. :(

EDIT: Goodbye!
