For what its worth, Ive got a 05 Optra wagon and have not had any problems other than the "searching for gear" problem that was fixed with a comp. update 2 yrs ago.  Ive got 50K on it, drive it 4 hours each way to ski each weekend and get about 600km/tank and thats with a roof box on top.  Overall Im happy with it, the optra gets a bad rap but there are plenty of optra/suzuki forenza owners that are more than happy with it.

That's good. But the true test of reliability is when they get into their 6th or 7th year and around 140km to 150km.  At that point Hondas and Toyotas, to name two Japanese offerings, are still ticking like new or not far from it and still have some value.  Can Buicks and Daewoos claim the same?  Based on resale values as determined by the market they can not.  Smiley

By then the car will still be running well with proper maintenance and the owners will have spent a lot less on parts then some of the import brands for sure. I just love watching all of theolder GM product going by everyday as there are virtually millions of them on the roads with very Happy owners as well. Of course these owners have some knowledge of their products which is more then you have on the GM products. Remember there's millions of owners out there.  Smiley

When I pull up beside an older Corsica, Lumina, Grand Am, Caviler, etc., and look over the occupants always look really depressed.  If it happens to be a Buick the occupants look like they have one foot in the grave (or were those Oldsmobile owners).  Smiley

What probably depress's you is the fact that there's millions of these owners on the road which prove you wrong to start with. You too could have a GM if you wanted but you insist in driving other makes. Go Ahead and keep punishing yourself Steve if you wish but maybe someday you will learn.  Smiley Grin ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL

Its unfortunate that you are too blind to see the truth as it should be biting you on the leg. Its unfortunate that just because you say it dosen't mean there's any form of truth to it at all. If you persist in being SO STUPID and continue you on saying such crap it just makes you look like a biggar Liar then everybody completly thought. Just how Moronically Dumb are you anyways?   Roll Eyes

To post something like that just shows how immature you are Steve and unfortunately this is a site for Car enthuesiast's  which do not insult the owners of any make or model but try to help them whenever possible. You are not mature enough to understand this point it seems and should revalue your presence here as it is wearing thin with not only myself but other posters as well. To do otherwise constitites a class of troll of which is not welcome for very long. You are starting to fit that scenerio.  Sad

What does an opinion have to do with trolling? Its not what you say its how you do it. I'm not taking jabs at something just to get a reaction. I wasn't the one having the endless argument over whats crap and whats not.

If you are not involved in it Steve then why are you still carrying on like a idiot yet trying to deny it. You obviously take great pleasure in being a Neocon Prick which has come out in other sections on here as well. If you are a example of the used car dealers out there then I feel sorry for their profession as it only takes one like you to spoil the whole trade for everybody. I think its time for to put you on the ignore list as I am going to waste my time anymore with a babbling idiot like you Steve. Calling you a liar and a cheat is easy as you have admitted these things yourself in previous posts so if you try to deny it then that definitely makes you a major liar for sure.  Smiley

The Optra has always had a fairly good rating on it as it is a very decently built small car. Glad you are still enjoying yours like most of the owners do.  Smiley

Dosen't matter as even the Daewoo vehicles have improved greatly in the last few years as well. These are not a expensive car in comparison to many on the marketplace but are still quite reliable for the price involved. Other then having the tranny's reset by computor a few years ago they have performed very well ever since as we do not hardly ever see any complaints on here regarding this model at all. Even the Honda's have more problems on here then these ever have.  Smiley
