sirAQUAMAN64; Does the Edge impress you enough to consider it for your next vehicle purchase? The dealership in my town just got one in & I'm trying to work up enough nerve to test drive it. I guess I'm afraid I might like it & then I'll be having to talk to the banker. S

I guess if you're in the frame of mind that you shouldn't be vehicle shopping at this point, stay away from the dealership!  :rofl2:

Regardless of what you're intending on buying, always good to shop around, even if just to solidify your purchase decision.

Besides, test driving is fun  :skid:

Interesting comment about the seat height James.  I suspect that this will be a positive thing for most people interested in this car truck crossover.

I think ford has done a good job on the edge.  They've managed to release a vehicle with a competitive drivetrain (cough*500*cough).  Looking forward to hearing some driving impressions.

As was previously mentioned, I find the grill and to be a bit too much for my tastes.  I think ford was trying too hard to make it look like a spaceship.

I enjoy your pics, Wing - especially those taken in the country.  Looks like you were on a rather quiet back road for the Edge photos.

I saw a Ford Edge today for the first time. And I must say it looked much better then the Subaru B9 I saw shortly after. Impressive looking vehicle.

The Nav screen is full of finger prints and gets easily washed out in the sun.  The pictures were taken right by the Ottawa river near riverside and huntclub.

I recently have started to see them.  They're pretty athletic looking in person.  Far nicer than that awful Tribeca.

120km/H at 1800 rpm, that's darn low, pretty good. Hope Ford brings the Edge over here in Brazil at a lower price than the Murano, that means, lower than R$220.000,00.

Interesting grilles need not be boring. The Edge could be transformed.

This week I saw another 300 that had been altered to look like the Bentley grille. There is also a real sharp black 300 that has been floating around the GTA and I also spotted a Magnum with the gunsight taken out. Looked ok. Yesterday I also saw another Murano that had the small 'tube grille'. Nice also.

So on the Edge I would think it could be changed quite easily. I would at least.

I averaged 16.0L/100km. This average is typical for small SUVs during my week of driving, good for the size of the engine but a little disappointing when the vehicle is rated at 13.5L/100km.

Wing, did you mean the fuel economy is average considering the cold weather and mostly city driving? Because otherwise you are going to make think my previous ride (mid-size V8 SUV) was amazingly fuel efficient.

Benhaze, It all depends on your driving conditions, if you take a look at my previous reviews that is an average I seem to achieve in the winter with these small SUVs.  Unless I do extra highway travel.

My route is particularly bad for fuel mileage as it is city in the fact that I am constantly starting at stopping at red lights but must accelerate to 80km/h between them.

Wow, 3 wheels for 16L/100km? Pfffffffft! I'd give it one, maybe 1.5!
