And I wouldn't chose between the R8 and the 911 without a good deal of seat time in both.  Though getting a proper test drive of the R8 would probably be very tough.  Sad

I think if you head on over to the local Porsche shop, getting an opportunity to thrash a 911 around would also be a bit tough.   Wink

But at least they have 911s sitting on the lot...  with only 4000 R8s worldwide, I doubt anyone but an auto journalist will get a test drive.

True enough, but those 4000 units will be sold without the owner testing one.
