XD-3 0W30 sells for about $4.60 a litre at my Esso Bulk dealer in snowy Owen Sound.  However, you gotta buy 12 litres in a plastic wrapped flat, like 24 Coke.  :)

You can't just buy the 4L jugs and the 1L bottles individually there?

I can, anytime, at the one here in Nepean (Ottawa).

I can only buy in shrink wrapped 12*1L flats too. Perhaps that is why I get it cheaper. ??? ;)

This is the repackaged UFA version of XD-3, from what I understand. Easy to get for those in Alberta, and often on sale.

For those of you who didn't run out and buy half a dozen jugs of the Pennzoil when it was 30% off....  :shuffle: ... I see that Canadian Tire is now selling Quaker State Full Synthetic for 1/2 price - $17.49 for a 4.4 litre jug.  :o

It's a one-day-only sale: Saturday, February 24.

Or go to your friendly Partsource store with the Canadian Tire flyer. Partsource will beat the CT sale price by another 10%. I get my German Castrol for around $5.80L that way. (reg 8.99/L)

Doesn't look like it. Typically either CT or PS has it on sale every month or so. The German Castrol gets lumped in with all the other Castrol Syntec swill. ;)

This looks like a good deal though (if you use 5W or 10W-30).
