My second foray into the lush world of German sports cars but the first time I get handed the keys and the ability to spend the next 4 days living the life of someone with more money than I can imagine.  Loaded up with a good portion of the options from the Porsche catalogue my Targa 4S test model is one extraordinary machine. What an amazing car, the leather inside is impressive to say the least, as is the targa roof. Never seen anything so well appointed. I did see the car, but didn't get a chance to see the roof in the open position, nor did I get to see the flip up window in action in the back.

If I had the money, it'd be very hard to turn down a 6 speed version, that's for sure!

Many 911's in automatic?  I'm not sure about that.  Cruising the used 911's...the majority of them have the right transmissions.  The auto ones take a huge hit in price.

I used to have one neighbour with a 911 C4S (996), now I have 2....sadly it's not me.

Uh, you suck? Wow, nice to be able to wheel around town in a car like that. Too bad it is winter  Wink

Today Pfaff Porsche have 56 cars listed in inventory. 7 of them are automatic.

That would not be a lot....I head on over to Pelican to see what I want...but can't.

Common peasants like all the members of this forum can only dream of driving a $150k vehicle and parking it in their own garage every night.  Payments for such a fine piece of machinery is not for working folk....

The only 997 any of our members get to hold the keys to is a loaner....oh how the other half live.

The Targa is my favourite of the 911 models  Love I'm personally not fond of the interior - look, colour, or layout, but the upright windows/visibility, classic lines, AWD, power, handling, and usability (trunk space, etc) are great bonuses for such an accomplished sports car. I'd skip the paint on that particular example, and go for the manual. If the weather allows the roof open, do post additional photos please!

Are all-season or winter tires on your tester?
