So in other news.  We now have to wait three more weeks for the truck to be brought in from Alabama.

They thought they had one on the lot in the back still wrapped up.  Wrong model.  Then they said that they were going to DRIVE one up from the Vancouver.  WTF?  The roads are HORRIBLE right now, sand and rocks everywhere.  And the best part?  They said that it would onle cost us a  couple hundred dollars!.

Bwuhahahhaha.  We said no thanks, that is a deal breaker.  So now we are getting one from the plant, but have to wait until mid-March.

Also, an aside.  The finance guy at the dealership is terrible to work with.

Same thing happened to me..the dealer ended up shipping a car down from a lot in Timmins via truck. I did not pay any extra freight.
Good buy on the Santa by the way.
Does the Rogue replace the X-Trail or will they co-exist for a few years?

I heard they may try to pin the cost of bringing it over on the customer.

When I bought my Corolla, I said no. They didn't fight.

Several years earlier, when my Dad bought his Corolla, they said it'll cost him $300 for them to drive it over. Unfortunately, he paid it. >:(

I put a deliver by date clause in the contract. The dealer told me there were several of the make/model I wanted in the GTA...then called back a few days later to ask what other colour I'd accept... Nice try

The Santa Fe's are rolling out the lots, I guess they'll be less and less willing to deal.  :(

Heheh... must be a Mazda thing.  Mine had to come from miles away up north somewhere too.  They did not even attempt to charge me for getting the vehicle to me.

Was checking my CCC quote and I see there's now a stackable $500 incentive for month of March. The Santa Fe is looking like a even better deal now. As much as I'd like a sporty station wagon, the SF is just too good to pass up.
