Go back and read the first post on this thread, and the link. Maybe I over-stated it a bit, but even if you allow for a $5000 profit per car, which is more than BMW makes, Porsches on average are priced $23,000 too high. If you think a $28,000 profit per car is alright, then fine. Hey, it's your money, right?

I'd get more satisfaction and enjoyment out of that than paying... what $12,000 in real estate fees to an agent for selling a house!

Yeah - they are also an R&D company like Lotus which inflates the numbers.

Since when is any product's market price determined by the manufacturer's cost?

Exactly. Now that the original figures have been denied as erroneous, Porsches just became a much better buy. Of course, the price hasn't changed but I guess that's secondary in determining what is or isn't a good deal.
