The second generation Lexus LX 470 was basically a Lexus version of the Toyota Land Cruiser (not sold in Canada), says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase.  Reliability has been better than average in the large SUV class, but fuel consumption is abysmal, he reports.

Wow....33% depreciation in one model year is pretty steep for a brand that usually has such high resale. ..... Is this unique to this model or is it a function of declining used prices due to our strong dollar?

I've always thought it's interesting how these things garner less rage from the fuel-efficient-car crowd than Lincoln Navigators or especially Cadillac Escalades, when they don't make an ounce more sense.

I would assume because they are not as common, so they slip under the radar.
