Topic: 2007 accord EX-L navi problem upon delivery

Hi, I just bought a 2007 accord EXL with Navi. When I went to pick up the car yesterday, the dealer told me the radio reception has a problem working the navi (the reception is not working). So they need to fix it before delivery. Since this is a brand new car and the navi supposed to be installed at the factory, the funtional test should have been done at the factory. I was kind of disppointed by this. Anybody has an idea if this is normal? Thanks!

I have the navi on the MDX and our radio works fine.

Certainly not normal.  I wonder if the antenna is just not connected.

Thanks for the reply. My question may be confusing. I mean, should all basic functionalities like this be tested before leaving the Honda plant? Is this a QA issue?

This should be a PDI issue.  You paid the cost for them to bring the car up to snuff, and it isn't.

Hi, sorry to hear.  Can you clarify this a bit more as the radio and navi are separate units.  Poor radio reception is likely an antennae issue, separate from the navi.
