I have heard of the story that there was once a Rolls Royce that broken down somewhere and the RR service deparment sent out a helicoptor to make sure their client could continue the journey.

Is this myth or a true story?  ???
If possible a webpage to verify, please.

That's like Lexus Canada cutting and flying a key to a customer locked out in a northern remote location, which was true.

If the customer is good enough, I could see it happening.

Try searching for urban legends webpages.
I think I saw a similar story somewhere - in the end, when the customer asked for his bill, RR's service answered: "What bill? We didn't repair anything, because our cars never break down!"

I guess it depends on the customer paying MSRP or not.  :)

I heard similar stories in the early '60s. Hopefully this will be of help:

Of course, if the story were true, Rolls would cleverly make people believe it was a myth, so as not to tarnish its image.
