All this Mazda talk has given me the idea to go check out the RX-8. I think it is time I drove one.

What happened to your '91?

Some of the strange stuff and annoying stuff; Annoying was the periodic failure of the power windows and locks, lights dimming whenever you used anything in that car such as, yeah, the power windows, locks.
Weird stuff: Frost build-up on the inside of the front windshield so I had to scrape the outside and the inside in winter and of course all the frost would fall on the dash, seats and me. The weirdest was the car moving at 5mph in a parking lot in Maniwaki while in neutral with a 5-speed! I had to stomp really hard on the brakes and put the handbrake on to stop it.
So I washed and waxed the car so it looked great, went to a mazda dealership, parked across the street, a couple of people came over to look at it and I offered it for a couple of thousands less than the lot (it was a little less than a year old). The first couple who saw it bought it the next day..problem solved, that's when my father sold me his '90 Nissan Stanza - great car with 0 problems, gave it away with over 300,000 on it.

Glad to see you are proud of suckering people into buying a lemon...

Hey, I remember that now! At the time, I thought it was annoying, but didn't know it wasn't normal, haha!

I've had a few Mazdas over the years.  I had one of the first RX-7's in Ontario and loved the car.  It cost $9600 all in and there was a short period of time when Ontario had a sales tax holiday. Unfortunately we had to dump it after two years as my wife and I had an unexpected second child.

It took me to 1999 to get back into something else with two seats when I bought a Miata.
