Out of curiosity I started a free site to see if I could provide a repository for this kind of info:

http://cardealscanada.tp2p.com/

This is a great idea - useful information that people want to know but often can't find.

There's nothing really there yet but I'll try to add the links above. Kind of like redflagdeals, which is a great site. If it turns out to be a dud I'll just delete the site. Smiley

Great organization there, Stodge. A web site is much better. It may require some work checking all links monthly for changes, though. I'm surprised if this type of information isn't the first thing buyers (who haven't made up their minds on a specific car regardless) look for in these times, because its often the first thing people want to know. And I'm really surprised all the automotive media including Cdn. Driver don't have this maintained up to date, front and centre!

I still go to the following site to get rebate and incentive information (requires free registration, then login to access it), and highly recommend this resource. However you can't take the info as gospel. Sometimes the information doesn't match up with what the manufacturer "says" (which may be the manufacturer not making certain incentives "public"? Don't know!), and sometimes the information isn't available. When it is, it is quite detailed, ie; cash, finance and lease rates by the year, by model:

Cars4u is a good site - I've been using it too. I've been looking for an excuse for creating a website using Drupal! I need to spend more time on it but we've been busy selling our house. I've created the ability for people to post incentives; kind of like a blog. We'll see what happens.

Cord - any ideas what the legal implications are of posting this information?

Unfortunately, my legal advice is worth precisely what you've paid for it.  Smiley Best to ask someone better qualified.

I don't envy anyone trying to compile this information. In order to be of any value it must be accurate and it must be timely. The sheer volume of data is daunting. I can remember when manufacturer incentives were updated only a few times a year. Now they are often changed multiple times per month. A few years ago I was developing relationships with a few online lead providers and the most frustrating thing was that although they would provide leads, they often provided inaccurate or just out-dated pricing and incentive information. I canceled a few contracts just because of this. Once someone has "read it on the internet" they can't be convinced that the information isn't correct.

Checked out the site CarDealsCanada Stodge and good job. It's a great idea and could get quite a bit of traffic, but you're going to be a busy guy tho trying to keep that up to date and complete.

On the same topic, does anyone have Chrysler incentives available to them? I know about the Canada's Choice program (up to $4,000 according to Dodge.ca), but is there anything else applicable for 2009 Ram Crew Sport 4X4's? I thought the incentive was $4,700 as advertised on the radio and print but can't seem to figure out what factors sum to that total. PM would be appreciated for anyone in the know  Smiley

We should get this thread posted as a sticky in the forum tho.

CRCanadaCars.org is a rip-off!  Don't use it!

It provides the exact same data as CarCostCanada.com.  The reports are identical...picture, data, formatting, even the colors.  Even the web interface to "build and price" your car is exactly the same.

Use CarCostCanada.com instead.  You get 10 reports instead of 1 or 2, and you pay in CDN dollars!

I bought CRCanadaCars.org's report thinking it would include dealer holdback amounts.  It was no different.

For the poster who asked about Chrysler incentives, there's a thread over on redflagdeals.com in the automotive section. "Ask me anything about Chrysler"
