Well, I just ordered the Revos from Morty (the Chevy dealer quoted me $385 per tire, plus mounting & balancing!  :o ).

The Pirellis were tempting, but I guess I just didn't want to take a gamble on them. I've driven on the Revos a fair bit (on a Yukon XL, no less), so at least I have a pretty good idea what to expect.

I'll post some pics when everything arrives.

EDIT: I guess I am a gambling man after all. Turns out the Revos are back-ordered 'til nearly forever, so I decided to give the Pirellis a try instead.

Well, we've had the Pirellis on the truck for a week now, and so far so good.

Since I never drove on the truck's stock Goodyears, I don't really have anything to compare the Pirellis too. A "review" in this case seems kind of impossible, so I'll just say that I'm happy so far; snow traction seems good for a non-winter tire, tread noise is minimal, and the handling seems nice and precise. How much of all that is due to the tire, and how much is simply due to the truck, I dunno.  ???

Anyway, they look good - and we all know that's the most important thing!  ;D

Sir,
I too had the dilema of chosing a winter tire last fall for my Highlander. After tons of opinions, I selected the scorpions. Had previously used the all season scorpions and was relatively happy with them, but was a bit concerned with the agressive tread pattern on the winters.

Needless concern. they were quieter than the stock A/S Deuellers. I then went into the "wonder how useless they will be in the snow" mode. Well I have not had to call CAA yet, and I did not put a shovel in the trunk.

I can't say that they are better than any other brand, but I am extremely happy with them. Took an 8K trip to Calgary and back to Montreal in the late fall, and it was a piece of cake! Snow, rain, tons of ice in Calgary, and never a bad move.

Going to go looking for summers next for my Pathfinder, and will seriously consider Pirelli along with Toyo and Khumo.
