WINTER MODE
« on: December 02, 2006, 03:09:19 pm »
A friend gave me a deal I couldn't pass up on some lightly used winter tires... 250 cash, on rims, installed and balanced... Otherwise I would have had to buy new rims (~50 each...) and tires (~100 each) which I couldn't afford. This way I got some cheap wheels what should keep me alive for 2 winters and let me avoid scraping up my chrome stockers.

It looks kind of ghetto because not all the rims match, but at least they are the same size  :rofl2: .

What kind of tires are they?

Good job, better than using all-seasons and saves your good wheels for summer time.

Cooper Weather Master I think they are called... I dunno where they are in the pecking order, but like I said the price was right and they are a HELL of a lot better so far than any all seasons I've used.

Even a "poor" winter tire will be better than an all season...  I haven't heard of these, so I don't know what kind of quality they are, but good choice to go with some kind of winters!  :D

The car looks surprisingly decent with steelies, too...  there are a few cars on a campus I see on a regular basis with their steelies, and they look terrible.  :(

Nice Buick.   Black appears to go well with white.  I have Coopers too.   My car's previous owner bought them.   I think Walmart sells them.

It's not the wheels (or car) that makes it look "ghetto" -- but the setting!  Must be Wing's neighbourhood with all that graffiti.  :)

Neat pics!

If it was wings neighbourhood, wouldn't we have seen some close up shots of the graffitti by now? j/k.

My winters went on the car thursday... In the nick of time.
