Excitement is subjective and clearly not in the overall marketing plan of this car. I don't own a Camry, but have rented them (previous generation) on two occasions for lengthly road trips in the US. Both were 4-cylinders.

In my experience on those trips, the car has more than adequate power, lots of space, and a very comfortable ride (highways, secondary roads, and city), while delivering good fuel economy (7 l/100 km). It's pretty hard to fault it, especially when the reliabilty factor is taken into account. :)

Not too bad. It's the pricing that's killer. At $31,900, it's waay cheaper than the Accord Hybrid and in fact is a better deal than the Prius. (it has most of the equipment of a $34k Prius for the price of a base Prius).

I would suggest that anyone who's concerned about the boot space, bring their stroller or what not when they visit the dealer for a test drive to test out whether the boot can fit their usual cargo.

It's small but when I look at it, it seems like it can hold more than our old 2000 Corolla which had a larger 12.1 cu ft boot.

And ya, get rid of all the green colours. What's with all the new light greens? Silver Pine Mica, Cactus Mica, Aloe Green Pearl, Jasper Pearl. ugh.. who's the new dude with the obession with light green?
