For us non-autoworkers A-Plan is known as a benefit and it's worth real money.

I think the autoworkers here are getting the wrong impression, most of us don't think that autoworkers are overpaid but we don't think they're underpaid either.  Hence the negative reaction to the whining.  Anyone making $50,000+/year with additional lucrative benefits like A-Plan is making enough to live reasonably comfortably on.  That doesn't mean they should be paid less, but they have no reason to whine about not making enough either.

Bye Bye Miss American apple PIE...those Jobs are part of the HISTORY BOOKS ...see Ford lays Off 35,000 with Severance........the Gold_bricked road endeth..and those on it are "chippy" and Pissed as WE all would be..but hey that's LIFE.................. :'(
