Also, you may already be planning to, but try and see if you can get the price down. She may be motivated to get rid of it quickly (so she can buy her daughter the new car), and money may not be a big factor for her.
Otherwise, look for something else like that Legend. I know there's an inherent risk in cars with lots of goodies (e.g. more things than can go wrong), but heck, I'd probably do it, as it's nicer to ride around in.....
