TORONTO, Nov. 1 /CNW/ - Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today announced that
both its Toyota and Lexus divisions set new records for October, leading TCI
to its 10th consecutive record month this year. TCI total sales of 16,010
units grew 8.8 per cent over last October. Record October TCI car sales of
11,082 units are up by 3.1 per cent for the month, and record TCI truck sales
of 4,928 units climbed 24.4 per cent. Record Year-to-Date (YTD) sales
performance of 169,897 units is surpassing last year by 13.3 per cent.
Toyota division sales reached a record 15,017 units, 9.5 per cent ahead
of last October's record. Record YTD Toyota sales of 160,071 units are up by
12.8 per cent.

- October record for Toyota cars - sales of 10,531 units are 2.4 per
cent ahead.
- October record for Toyota trucks - sales of 4,486 units beat last
October by 30.5 per cent.
Record October performance from Lexus saw 993 units ahead of last October
by 0.4 per cent. Record annual Lexus sales of 9,826 units are beating last
year by 21.9 per cent.
- Lexus cars set a new October record, with 551 units, up 18.5 per
cent.
- Lexus truck sales of 442 units are down by 15.6 per cent compared to
last October.

Vehicle highlights for October include:
- Best October for Yaris with sales of 2,834 units are up 27.8 per cent
for the month.
- Demand continues to grow for the all-new 2007 Camry, as October sales
of 2,454 units have increased by 66.6 per cent.
- New October record for the all-new 2007 RAV4 - 1,448 units are up by
an outstanding 201.7 per cent.
- The unique and fun to drive FJ Cruiser sold 531 units in October.
- Powerful performance from Tacoma pickup trucks, as combined sales of
910 units grew by 28.9 per cent.
- Best October for the Lexus IS performance sedan; sales of 250 units
continue to shatter previous IS sales records.
