Interesting breakdown.  Do we know the breakdown of each model in Honda's lineup?

I take it, looking at Toyota Canada and Nissan Canada's results, that the Fit is not selling as well as the Yaris and the Versa. Is that true?  ???
Just put the steering wheel in the DOWN position and the drive feels much better - watz up with that??

Whether that is true or not.... Honda dealer told me last week  upto 4 months for any given Fit especially one with a manual transmission. On the same day a Nissan dealer said immediate to about 4 weeks for most Versa models except 6 weeks for a CVT model with the "tech package".  That would explain to me why FITs are not selling, if you cant just get one on the lot.

The reason btw was that all fits are made in one factory in Japan and they only make manual ones for 10% of the time.  A previous thread here a year ago also suggested that manual Fits would be difficult in NA .
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I admire the car's design, so I think it's a shame.  :-\

Everyone underestimated the demand for manual transmission Fits. We have had an outstanding order on a 5 speed manual Fit LX at my dealership since late July. The buyer should get her car next week, after about 3.5 months!

We are hoping Honda will adjust their ratio of manual to automatic Fit production...

I knew I picked the right time to buy my Fit LX MT because I had a feeling that was gonna happen.

There doesn't seem to be any shortage of automatic transmission Fits.

I wandered into a local dealership a couple weeks ago and they were offering free automatic transmission (and supposedly had forty cars in inventory). I dropped by the lot this afternoon and they still have that special going. I expect the lower interest rate of 4.9% will also help to move them.

Pity I'm a manual man!  :drv2:
