MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 1 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) released its
sales figures for October, 2006 today. The total sales figure for both Nissan
and Infiniti brands was 6,260 units, an increase of 1,577 units (33.7%) over
October 2005. The Nissan brand accounted for 5,715 units, an increase of 1,650
units (40.6%) year-over-year. This was the Nissan brand's best month since
October, 2001.
Sales were led by Versa Hatchback which had a strong month with 1,260
units in only its fourth month on the market. The Nissan Pathfinder sold 312
units, while Murano sold 592 units, an increase of 268% over October 2005.

INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS

- G35 led all Infiniti models with 316 units sold.
- FX35/45 sold 128 units up from 91 sold in October 2005, an increase
of 40.7%.
- QX56 had its best month of 2006 selling 38 units.
