Are your winter tires on now?

Since ROBO is 2bysy wif school work and working that color laser into double OT ... We have a topic like this every winter and spring. :)

Are your winter tires on now? A few regulars mentioned they had them on already.

Caught with the pants with the first big snowfall that stick onto the ground. Very icy on the street and highway around here this weekend. A slight tap on the brakes will bring out the chatter chatter of the ABS with the all seasons. Monday morning was better.

Didn’t have time to swap tires this weekend, got up at 5:30 AM, tried to put winters on … couldn’t do it. Not 18 anymore. Will try to sneak back home during lunch hour and do it. Pampered with snows.  ;D

Yes. The advantage to having seperate wheels stacked in the garage. I put them on Friday night ahead of the first nasty storm of the season. Good call as the side streets are pretty grim in Calgary now. I imagine the lineups at the tire shops this morning are nasty.

I also swapped studded tires onto my dirtbike Sunday.l

Yes. Had them on for three weeks and for the first time in my life I'm looking forward to the first snowfall to see if they were worth it. Bring it on.

Sorta. The rear Arctic Alpins are as bald as a cueball, though they still worked surprisingly well yesterday. Looking forward to trying out the new X-Ice's next week. Knowing Lethbridge, the snow will be all gone by then.

Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

My Nokians went on my Honda this weekend.  I'll wait a few weeks to put on wifeys.  Her commute is about 5 mins in town and I can swap them over any evening in the garage.

I ususally have the winters on from the 1st weekend in Nov. until the 1st weekend of April.
Internal combustion thrust I trust

I got mine put on a couple weeks ago because my other tires were nearly worn out.

The van just had them mounted today. I normally do it but it being a domestic, it was at the dealer anyway. :)

For the first time, I had the tires/rims stored at the dealer. Well worth the $15 for 4.

I will be mounting the Tracker tires/rims this week. We're not expecting any snow this week but ya never know. Besides, as fun as it is driving around on all seasons in 2wd, it's not very safe for my daughter....
