I've driven this car as a rental from a number of major North American airport rental agencies. I've liked it. |

A colleague has this car--and a V-6 with the 5 speed no less. This thing feels like such a Ford. Heavy clutch like a Mustang, shifts like a Mustang...does not accelerate and burnout like a Mustang though. |

What Mustang are you referring to? The clutch in mine is not heavy at all, and it shifts smoothly and is much shorter shift than Mustangs prior to 2005. Are you referring to old Mustangs? |

Unfortunately, reliability has been so-so at best. Valve cover gasket leaks and ignition coil failures are frequent, as are the ball joints in the front suspension/steering. This last item is an expensive fix, too. Automatic transmission issues are common too, So in other words another shitty motor. Why can't North america bulld a decent car that is not a toyota or honda. Ever single North American car that I have a slight intrest turns out to be a dog. . |

Mind you, the Chrysler pony cars were totally gone, and the Camaro was not so good in the mid to late 70s either. A crappy time to be a car nut, it was. |
