Julie's TSX
« on: October 25, 2006, 07:56:50 pm »
First pics of TSX. It was dark and rained when I picked her up :(  It was dark when I got home so pics are dark. Will add more tomorrow in sunshine (hopefully there'll be sun!)

Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Yeah, chickened out, asked my husband to drive it home because I wasn't familiar with London and it was dark, raining, etc. Tomorrow I drive her!

That's a good attitude. I've met a few pilots in my day who were the opposite to your thinking. Most of them are dead now.

 Euh, yeah, I almost wanna sleep in it tonight!

We decided not to go with OEM mats, but it looks like I will buy them after all, because the generic ones at Canadian Tire don't fit. You have to cut them for the driver's side because of the way the pedals are.

Other than that, we got the rear splash guards. (Funny how rear ones don't come standard). And wheel locks.

Debated getting the spoiler. Decided against it finally.

Finally, I will be getting the clear bra, the price seems reasonable at the dealer, about 400 installation included. I have to set up an appointment.

Oh, I forgot, I couldn't believe they covered her. Yes, it was *so cool* to see it being unveiled..... Too bad I didn't bring my video camera.  :-\  She was shiner than the pics show.

It was a real special moment, my mouth dropped open. It's one of the happiest moments of my life actually... :)  This truly is my dream car.

p.s. That's my salesman on the right. Dunno if you can see it in the pic, but he looks like Ray Liotta.

Service was superb at Acura West, with this guy, Shaune, and the manager Paul (not shown). It look an hour and a half to do the paperwork and for him to show me all the controls/functions in the car.

Thanks everyone!!  :D  :D

She rides like a dream.  ;D  (I was sitting in the passenger's seat).

Yes, she's firmer than my Camry, but the ride is more luxurious than my Civic.

Based on my memory of a 2006 Honda Accord V6, compared to the Honda, in the Acura, you:
- You feel more bumps, but
- the bumps are absorbed better.

Humm.... that sounds funny huh? I like the ride slightly better in the TSX than the Accord. It's tighter, you feel more of the road, yet it feels a little more cushioner over the bumps (sounds contradictory, I know....)  Over very rough payment, the TSX is a little bit harsh though. Highways are very, very smooth.

For my tastes, it's the perfect balance of handling and bump absorbancy.

That can make sense.  It's amazing how many things you can change in a suspension (spring rate, spring progressiveness, low/medium/high-speed compression damping, low/medium/high-speed rebound damping) and how changing a couple of factors can make for a totally different feel in the ride.

One of the best quotes I've ever read on this board.   Totally made me smile.

Congrats on the new ride, take it for a long ride tomorrow.

I love the look of the rims, great looking car.

mmmm, I was very happy and smiling for a very long time (until I got showered on with rocks from a dumbp truck in front of me that chipped my paint, and when I got home my brother broke a button on my dashboard so I had to go back to the dealer the next day) but yes I was very happy...TOTALLY satisfied, probably not, maybe when I get my 911
