I feel your pain. I tried to buy a pair of Rover SD1s. They were cheap. One was rusty and no engine. The other had a great engine but lots of rust. Logic says combine them for one good car. But does the wife see that ... noooo.  ???

Wouldn't that make for one good but very rusty car?

Opps - the one with no engine has no rust.

And you thought I wasn't paying attention...  ;)

Caved pretty quick.... and said.... 'you may as well just go and get it... I'm just worried about retirement'.... GRRRRRRR I hate that guilt card!

What are you paying for the Accord now?  $XXX/month?  What's the new CRV going to cost?  An extra $YYY/month?  That's going to have you worry about retirement?  Bah....you may as well just go and get it.  ;)

Get your wife drunk, and have her sign a document giving you permission to buy a new CR-V.  ;)

UPDATE:

Went into the dealer to look at it today.  Don't want it.  The exterior is everything I hoped for.  Beautiful and well put together.  The interior did not appeal to me at all.  Not as refined as the Accord.  I sat in an 07 Accord EX-L.  Navigation is standard and it has all the bells and whistles for under 32K.  Hmmmm If I put 7000 down I can get it for under $500 a month.

Hey Wetson,

I just looked at the interior of the 2007 EX-L model with navi. Honda hits the mark again (IMO) with the understated beauty and refinement of their interiors.

I liked how they changed the rear lights design...

Fine choice.
