My OEM blades last years on my VW.   I have covered parking at work and garage at home.   I have Reflex on my Honda which is parked outside all the time.   I guess I'll see how well they work this winter in the snow and freezing rain.

I've been running the reflex knock-offs available at Walmart on the Acura for a year and half. They're a bit cheaper than the CT ones. So far I'm impressed. I'm still on my first set.

I've heard about these... Might pick up a set to see how they compare with my reflex experience after I get rid of the blades that came with my Impreza.

Valeo and Bosch wipers seem good to me.

The ones on the GTI thus far have been great. No issues, clean wipes, no smears, no skipping. I'm curious how well they'll do in freezing Winter.

I kept the original wipers on my Golf for 5 years and 280K before replacing  :rofl2:  Towards the end the rubber was getting a little brittle and friends were commenting it was overdue. Once I put new ones on it did make a difference.

Geez, am I the only one who replaces his wiper blades every season? I have no luck with wipers, I truly find they all suck. The Reflex blades worked great for the first while but then they developed a "bump" and it missed a spot exactly where my line of vision is. This happened on both my cars!

I used to buy the "aerofoil" brand from Canadian Tire but they've changed the design and I don't find they work as well.

Oh, the Reflex blades also developed chunks of wet snow which eventually turned to ice. Not great when you try to reach out the window and grab them because of there low profile design.

I've applied the Rain-X Rain Away stuff today and Got the Rain-X fluid. Will report how they work when it rains :)
Also
I am thinking  Bosch Microedge Excels or the Wallmart Reflex.
But I need to try to get the Bosch from the states. There around 7$US Each vs in Canada they want around 25$ EACH...lol
If i can't get them from the states I'll ge tthe Wallmart brand till I go down to the states.

FYI - Costco currently sells Michelin Radius (hingeless) wipers for around $12.99   They are more substantial looking then the CT Reflex wipers and cheaper to boot.  I haven't used them yet but intend on trying them for the winter.

No, you are not the only one who changes them every year.  I change the front wipers twice a year (once for winter and once for the rest of the year) and the rear wiper usually just once per year.  On occasion I've tried winter blades for the rear but the rear blade on the Sorento is some weird size with the hinge point a little off set from center (I think).  I certainly have never found the Crappy Tire recommended size of 13" to cover the same amount of glass that the Kia issue blade does.  I'm going to try 14" if I can find it.

I've tried different winter brands but never the Reflex type.  Maybe I'll give them a try this year.

Usually I just purchase the rubber inserts (OEM/or CT) and replace them in the spring.

However I just picked up the Michelin Radius from Costco. So far they are great. No streaking, with the exception of slight lift at the bottom of the windshield. That doesn't matter to me since I can't see it when driving.

I think for $12.99 (any size) they are a STEAL. I'm not expecting them to last over a year, but at that price... it doesn't matter!

I do as well.  In the grand scheme if things, they are cheap and it ensures I can see when I need to.

Will try something like the Reflex this winter as that is the big problem around here (only 10" of percip per year, mostly snow  :D)

We have been really short of rain here for the last 5 months, but would be more than willing to share some of the winter crop. Just say the word and we'll send you all you can use.  ;D ;D

I picked up the Michelin Radius at Costco a month ago and they've been good so far, pretty reasonable price to try out the frameless style.

I just use the regular Canadian Tire/Part Source winter blades.  I get two winters out of them.

I put a layer of Rain-X on my windshield, and have teflon winter wipers from crappy tire, and they never make a sound, even in the intermittent rain, because of the Rain-X. I can see usually get away without using them in most rain at higher speeds because the water just slides off the windshield and at higher speeds still do quite a good job without lifting (again, because of the Rain-X). I recommend winter wipers (with covers that prevend water from freezing on the blade and warping it) and putting a layer of Rain-X on the window.
