Which Wiper Blades are best ? (for Winter and Rain)

I've done some reasearch and I still can't find any good reviews. So Best is to ask the experts :) Which are the best wipers for the winters we have here (Montreal) and rain?
Please add where you can get them from and price

Bosch MicroEdge Excel
Bosch MicroEdge
Reflex (Canadian Tire)
Michelin wipers (Costoco)

I like the Trico or Ansco brands myself as they are made of real rubber and are much more flexible in the cold weather then a lot of the other brands. The winter blades have a covering on them to help out in the serious cold days. They are a very durable product and can last a long time in service.  :)

No experience with the others, but we put some of the Cdn. Tire Reflex wipers on the Xterra last winter & have been pretty impressed. Biggest advantage over traditional winter blades is their lack of lift at speeds over 100 km/h or so. They're still going strong after nearly a year, too.

I use the reflex wipers too.  They're not specifically winter wipers but I've found they form to the windshield the best.  The winter wipers I've tried don't seem to have enough flexibility.  They're not cheap but they're the only wipers I use.

After seeing them on the new VWs, I want a set of Bosch Aerotwin blades for my car.  The EL needs new blades, and I can't find these anywhere.  Just looking at them, I think they'd be fantastic.  They are much more suibstantial than the Reflex.

They should - they're on your damn GTI.  But before you get all smug, similar blades are on the new Civic as well.

Almost every blade works fine for the first few months, but am I correct that they work well?

Bah. Thay look cool but do not work all that well. I couldn't wait to get rid of them off of my Passat. Pricey too. Curiously the "regular" Michelin wipers sold at Costco seem to work much better.

That's because the driver's side is used more than the passenger side

I'm a Silblade user coming up on 10 months of use (I had them installed in February of this year)

They react well in snow and cold and do a good job in a steady rain, but tend to squeal if there is only intermittent rain.  Not the cheapest of blades to purchase at $25 per blade but if they last the full five years it's only $10/year for the pair which is cheaper than even the cheapest blades made for the Focus (Which has weird blade lengths 22" & 19" ???)

Chyrsler was giving a wiper very similar to those with this past summer's maint promo. Can't recall the name but they were made in france. I have the reflex blades on the PAC and michelins on the Peon. Both are very good but for winter, the reflex are the way to go.
Enjoying the Alberta advantage

I usually buy the less expensive blades from Crappy Tire, and replace them as needed...every other year.

I get them from Toyota, 5.99, replace every year.

Parking outside all the time, I don't even get 12 months out of a set of blades.  Just picked up a set of the Bosch Microedge Excels from PartSource.  Will report back.
