Worth to take over lease of Hyundai tucson 2005
« on: September 20, 2006, 11:43:55 am »
I need you help guys on making a right decision.

One of my friend is offered me to take over his Lease on Hyundai Tucson 2005 with 17000 KM on it.(it has 90,000 KM all together for leasing period)

There is 24 months left on this lease with CAD 340 to pay per month including taxes. The residual buy back cost is CAD 9000. At the end of this lease if I want to buy this car which I intend to do so would cost me around CAD 17000.

So please Advise me  if this deal is worth to take over. If I drive another 50000 KM in next two year would this car worth CAD 14000.

My friend is saying he made CAD 7000 down payment on this car to lower the monthly lease payment.
