2007 Honda Civic changes
« on: September 19, 2006, 05:11:18 pm »
Hello All,

I am in the market for a Honda civic sedan DX-G automatic but trying to find out what are the changes between 2006 and 2007 year model?

The salesman has told me that there are only 2 changes to whole civic sedan lineup for 2007

1. Addition of White colour
2. Addition of Ipod connection

I would like to know if anybody is aware of any other changes to Honda civic sedan eg.: any possibility of heated mirrors and variable intermittent wipers on 2007 DX-G model?

Only reason I am hesitant to believe the salesman as initially he said there are no changes whatsoever

Thanks in advance!

It has been really hard to find out any information. I have the updated US trims, but the Canadian ones haven't been quick to appear.

Maybe HSG will pop in and give us an update? Please?

Hello prufrock,

You mentioned about US trim information were there any changes other than addition of SI sedan for 2007 model year?

Anybody else have any information about what exactly changed for 2007 model year civic sedan.

Thanks.

In the US, the EX model has a trunk release button on the key fob.  :(

I want my remote trunk release, dammit.

That is one of the weirdest and positively puzzling US/Canadian Honda anomalies todate.  ??? ::) :P

2007Civic, from looking at the information I have, it seems to be virtually unchanged. Now, it could be that some kind of external change (different tailights, etc) that is quite subtle has occurred, but from what I can tell the model hasn't picked up any extra features.

That the sedan gets an auxiliary input is about right. I wonder if that is at the DX level or only starts at the LX?

That bit about the fob baffles me, and of course that isn't in the specs.  ;)

At least they have remote locks standard, unlike the Fit.  ::)

No other changes other than what has been mentioned.

Check my other post in the preceding column for differences between DX-G and LX.

Wow, my fiance will be disappointed... she wanted White, but it was only available on the hybrid... we ended up getting Nighthawk Black.

Don't let her get upset...the updates are on the site and there is no white. The colours are the same as the '06s.

Only a $100 price increase...not bad. The finance rate sucks (of course ;)) but with a LOC it's not much of an increase to get the newest model year. I'm going to haggle tomorrow with the dealer I bought my Pilot from. It'll be interesting to see what kind of movement is available on the '06s now that the '07s are nearly on the lot, especially if it's a vehicle sitting on their lot and not one they need to hunt down.

There IS a White Civic Sedan coming in 2007. Since the Honda website still has 2006s on it, I don't know where people are getting their (mis)information.

I have seen our incoming stock and we will have White Civics on the lot by mid October.

I threw $60 at my car and got it done when I put in the alarm system, which also wasn't included in my thirty thousand dollar honda.

Also when you say "ipod connection" I think you mean AUX input.

Is it our fault that Honda Canada has changed their links to state 2007, raised the prices, but apparently neglected to correct the colour choices?

I see that the US site has white for both the coupe and the sedan.

The Honda.ca site doesn't show White as an option even though it's been updated for 2007 models... weird???

If it is actually coming in white, do you know what colour the interior will be? Grey? or beige like the US models?

agreed... we really liked, and would have bought, the navy blue colour for our LX but the interior was beige, so we opted for black instead.
