I know of a fellow who bought an 06 GT specB, new from Washington state. Subaru Canada honoured the full warranty, and in the end he saved about 5-7 thousand over a Canadian Legacy GT.
It's easy because the car is built in the US. |

I’m sure the Canadian pricing will not lure many buyers away from the new G35, 3series, or the new IS. I expect it to be up there in the high $40k range, perhaps $47k. If you are not hung up on the SI(stupid Idiot)-Drive, MT6, and the NAV a base GT can be purchased for $35k and have enough left over to augment performance and handling well beyond the capabilities of Spec B.
If this car were available when I was contemplating a replacement for Rut Ro I it would have been high on the list. But I would have struggled to justify the cost when an STi can be had for $50k

It's certainly not cheap so at the price point it's coming in at there's lot's to choose from. If I was looking for a car in this price range I'd certainly add this one to my shopping list - at least for a test drive! It certainly looks nice - especially the interior. Love those suede inserts. Nice job Subaru on the MP3 capable stereo, that was a gripe I had with my 06 Impreza. Having had a 99 Impreza where the rear seats did not fold down. I have to say that I didn't think folding seats would be a big deal... until I had the car... big mistake! It may not be the case for everybody but I found that not having the ability to fold the rear seats was terribly limiting! I always had to put my snowboard/skis, or other bulky things on the back seat. I don't have a roof storage trunk, which would have been handy for these types of things but if you've only got two people in the car it's nice to be able to put the gear in the car without having to deal with a ski tip poking in your ear! And dealing with the wind noise/reduced fuel consumption that the roof locker creates. |

posts like these make me want to drive down to Seattle and pick a Subie up. Does it come with HIDs as most entry level luxo cars are now equipped. SI Drive's novelty will prolly wear off in a week's of ownership. It's doing what my Accessport is doing for our Saabaru. But it;s fancier with that funky power graph. |
