This thing is gorgeous inside and out.

Too bad it's relatively tiny inside, and unrelatively unreasonable at the pumps - or as I assume.

I could not agree with you less.

Don't get me wrong considering where it fits in the market the new Escalade is excellent. The Escalade is a great luxury truck. It's bold and has an unmistakeable presence to it but gorgeous it is not.

IMO an Alfa Romeo Brera is gorgeous. A Maserati Quattroporte is gorgeous. A gorgeous car is a car that you want to see and to look at because it is an object of beauty, the Escalade is something you want to be seen in.

Once upon a time, in a mind far different, this thing had appeal and while I like the looks, it can't fit in my garage.

Over the top is what most people like about it and to that crowd it sure has appeal.

I really don't get this vehicle at all - big, ugly, ---- ugh! Because it appeals to rappers who possess more dollars than sense  though, so GM sells a few.

The Escalade FINALLY lives up to its billing. No longer will I snub my nose at one when I see it... the redesign has transformed it into something that actually looks the part of luxury and solidness on the outside - set off with just the right amount of classy bling, and an interior befitting something that costs as much (may not be Range Rover luxurious, but far removed from the Fisher Price plastic of yore).

My only real gripe as SIVIC says is that for such large vehicles, they really lack usable interior space, especially the 2nd and 3rd rows. Otherwise, impressively executed vehicle, all the more so when you look at what it replaced.

I can think of much better ways to spend 100 grand, but i must admit the new Escalade seems to be miles ahead of the old one.

First off, for what it is, the new Escalade is nice looking, however...

This embodies what is wrong with America, conspicuous consumption beyond any reasonable levels.  America, both individually and collectively are at record levels of crippling debt, due in no small part to what they drive....uh, never mind, I'm sure it's fun to drive.

$91,280.00 + Tax....Mmmmmmm....lets see what would I rather have. I need a posh set of wheels for me, the trouble and strife and the sprogs.

Don't matter how you put it the Cadillac Escalade Is gerish, people with money don't want gerish.

You would have to be nuts to spend this on Cadillac Escalade. It would loose a kings ransoms and then to kick you even more when you were already down, It would kill you at the bump. Plus there is no-way on earth is worth even that.  ROFL

DaT's PhAt Yo!!

It looks like one of those 'DUBZ' diecast model cars from the front. Almost cartoon-ish. But I wouldn't kick it out of the garage for eating gas.

I actually like the way it looks on the exterior, however, the interior fails, especially when put side-to-side with the compeition...I also think it's over-priced by at least $15,000

There's a couple old 'sclades in the neighbourhood and 2 new ones.  Both black, one is stock, the other has the 24's and tint...driven by housewives looking for attention.  They are a beast....the car that is.

Even more ridiculous is/was the Escalade EXT.  Yay.....a pimped out Avalanche.  The only thing the 'bed' of the EXT will see are cases of Cristal champagne and Grammy awards.   Roll Eyes

I saw two of those this past Tuesday (they are not very common here), both were white. One was towing one of those little fishing boats they make out of recycled cans of creamed corn.

It was the first time I've seen an Escalade using some of that towing capacity.
