I could see myself owning an Elise, but this is where I draw the line for a road driven car. It would certainly be cool to have one if all you did was drive it to the track and back, but man, I don't have enough money to have such an expensive toy

Convertibles and the Canadian climate usually don't mix, but I absolutely love going for drives, with the top down, during the summer months. |

84IM I wonder if that caterham can be safety checked and emission checked in Ontario... assuming it started plated in BC and then driven back here..... hmmmmmm.( the web site was unclear..in fact it said nothing about other provinces) I'd much rather have that than an Atom |

While I like the idea, I'd buy another superbike and save mucho dinero and have better performance. The Atom is a neat toy, but without "car" advantages over a motorcycle (more than 2 people, weather protection, gear storage/transport) I'd just buy a bike. |

The Atom would have better handling than a bike, plus some semblance of safety though. That said, it seems that the price is definitely higher on this side of the pond - UK Atoms are relatively reasonably priced. http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/04/frames.htmClick on the "used car" section |

Watch the Top Gear video, they race a pretty hot bike and the Atom wins around a track. For sure the bike wins on price! That said, while I love this, the Elise is where I would draw the line unless this is my 3rd, if not 4th, car. |

I don't know about Caterhams, but Intermeccanicas (a Porsche 356 replica built in Vancouver) can be registered in Ontario. I did see an ad for new (built in B.C.) Caterhams in Alberta. I think it was on the Caterham site. |

As I was leaving the Car show at Parksville (Vancouver Island), I could have sworn I seen one coming in as I was leaving. Did anyone else go to the show Sunday PM and verify that? |

Anyone know who this "Dave Goadby" is that is mentioned in the article as a Canadian Distributor?
I'd like to talk to him and get some ideas on canadian pricing. |

OMG, I so hope they make that legal in Canada, my recent pax ride in one was one of the most amazing car experiences ever! http://www.canadiandriver.com/forum/index.php/topic,26765.msg286782.html#msg286782Can't understand changing the engine though, the Honda engine really suits it. It drives like an F1 car, so needs a high revving engine for the full experience. |
