I was just wondering because I recently bought something i shouldn't have  Roll Eyes   ... and i am looking to get out of the lease...    2006 Fusion SE I4 (manual).    payments a low 295 before tax... and i was gong to ffer a 1000.00 incentive.   Cars got less than 1200 kms on it.
Just wondering if anyones has had success on this site.

Giant Dwarf did.

Welcome to the forum.  What's wrong with the Fusion, I found it fairly nice.

Oh, I think I understand, everyone makes mistakes I guess.  I would try local papers and bulletin boards first before going leasebusters.

haha..  well theres nothing wrong with the car.. in fact I didn't even know you could get such a fully loaded car for that price... which i why i went out on impulse and bought it....  and now Its like... you know I didn't need that car...   So i want to find out how to get out of that lease.. so i was curious if anyone has had or heard of that leasebusters working.. its quite an expensive service.

As Wing said, i did have success with the service and would certainly recommend it.  BUT... as you pointed out, it IS a bit pricey and I would suggest advertising the car more cheaply (via Auto Trader or local newspapers) first.  If that doesn't work, LeaseBusters should work.  Plus, they'll counsel you on how much of an incentive should be required to move the car.

If you negotiated a really good deal for yourself, you shouldn't have too much difficulty.  I tried in the paper and Auto trader before LeaseBusters and had lukewarm response.  Within HOURS of it being posted on LeaseBusters though, I had a caller who ultimately ended up taking the car over.

Make sure you check all the details of what's entailed for the lease transfer with Ford Credit (if they're the lease holder) before proceeding though.  There will undoubtedly be fees, and other headaches to endure.

Good luck!

From other discussions on leasebusters, it seems that people have the best luck with it in the GTA.  Sicne you're in BC, it might not be as useful.  Take Wing's  advice and advertise in local papers and bulletin boards first.

Good point, Dorin.  I didn't notice that part.  Having said that, they were offering a $100 discount for western Canada listings.

When dumping my Audi lease (a common theme here) in BC I used Craigslist, Buy&Sell, and LeaseBusters in that order.  LeaseBusters took a bit to kick in, but did generate some reasonable traffic, but the bang for the buck award went to Craigslist.  I got several hits (although some were complete wastes of time), but that's were I found my buyer (although I did have to do the whole lease takeover education).  LeaseBusters is expensive, but there is a westcoast discount IIRC.  The guys were nice and responsive, although took them forever to get my photo correct on the site.  Everyone who contacts you from LeaseBusters is well qualified - they all know exactly the kind of transaction you are talking about.  From Buy&Sell and Craigslist be prepared to educate the buyer.

I had success with Leasebusters as well.  My 05 Mazda6 was snapped up within hours of it being posted on their site.

I wouldn't offer a cash incentive, that's a low enough payment that someone will grab it.  Leasebusters will give you a free assessment as well and tell you whether or not to offer the cash incentive.

I got my 2005 GMC Sierra off of Leasebusters. The experience was so pleasant I may get all my future vehicles this way.

Thats great to know that people have had success with it.   For now, I will keep the car.  I found a way to make everything work and the 5 speed fusion I4 is soooo nice.  Smiley
