That's a shame Hammy. Although I'm not sure the difference between dealers is all that much, but a few hundred dollars is still better than nothing.

Im still hoping my local dealer meets me in the middle at 33k. It's not even about the few hundred dollars now. I just wanna feel like I've achieved a small victory at the onset of my ownership of the vehicle.

Why is the master list not getting updated?  I realize it would be a hassle for the OP, but it's not fun wading through 14 pages, either..  :)

So my son as been shopping a 2015 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited, he lives in Sudbury and the deals were poor. He did some research and found Seven View Chrysler in Concord. He dealt with them (the sales manager ) over the internet and the guy he dealt with sent scanned and signed offers. He drove down yesterday and we went in today and signed the deal. I have done a lot of car deals but the deal he got put in front of him with no haggle over the internet  was great in my view.  Its a factory order  2015 4 door Rubicon Unlimited, manual, with heated front seats, Uconnect, Jeep freedom top, Alpine premium audio, Sirus XM & connectivity group. List 45,635, got it for $35,286 (discount plus Chrysler incentives) plus HST. Drive away tax in other than license fee $39,873.  I think he got a great deal, Toosccops what do you think?

Just offered this deal for 2015 BMW x1 with premium package (MSRP = $39840)

Dealer offer = 36129.50

Planning on leasing for 36 months for 1300 down and 2500 cash back

Worked out to 431.68 per month

Will also require:
PDI $1295
Fuel $95
Freight $900
Admin $399
OTS $21.72
PPSA $45.73
Other Dealer Options??? $504
=3260.45 to be included up front in addition to the down payment.

At the very end of the conversation he said he'd reduce the price listed above such that the monthly payments would only be $412 per month.

So I guess that means his final offer with all fees included was

36 129.50 - (36(431.68 - 412)) + 3260.45
=35 421.02 + 3260.45
=$38 681.47

What do you guys think?

Can't believe the charge for gas.  I wasn't charged for gas.  I just checked it's 63L.  So 63L with premium at $1.30, just over $83.  But they have to pay the guy at the dealer to fill it up for you!  ::)

Just visited a Hyundai dealer and negotiated a deal for a Santa Fe.  Was pressured to take the following offer but walked away to check prices at other dealerships.

Santa Fe Sport base model MSRP = 26899
Rear view camera = 1074
Freight = 1795
Other fees ?? = 594
Discount = (-2578)
Subotal = 27784
HST = 3611.92
Total = 31395

Whats the discount?  Hyundai Canada?  If it is, then that's not good enough.  Dealer really isn't do anything for you. Total of $30,000 would be about right.  Cutting their admin fees in half, and throwing in the camera.

Hyundai Canada has a promotion they call Dealer Invoice Pricing which supposedly means we pay their invoice price - which I don't believe for a second.  That gives a discount of $1313.  I then negotiated another $1265 off the price.  So the total discount was $2578.

Basically a 10% discount.  Not bad.  Some good deals on low km 2014 models.  Have you thought about that?

Hi thanks for replying.  Yes I have thought about it.  I'm actually just browsing the dealer websites now...  If the right deal presented itself I'd definitely consider buying pre-owned.  Plus, the wife really wants the rear camera and it's hard to find on a preowned.  Although I suppose I could just get them to install one.
