Stinky Subaru
« on: August 02, 2006, 01:54:52 am »
I have an 06 Subaru Legacy GT, that has a sulfur(rotten egg) smell whenever I give it lots
of gas.
I allways use 91 octane, and allways a "good" brand.
Any ideas?

This used to be a problem in the early days of catalytic converters....fords were famous for it at one time...

That was my first thought too. Back when I was active on the Subaru boards at Edmunds (2000-2003) there were a few people with the same problem and it seemed that the cat was to blame ("The cat did it!"  ;D???

An 06?  Still lots of warranty?  Take it back and get the dealer to look at it.
